The Lisbon stock market started the last session of the week in negative territory, in line with the prevailing sentiment in major European markets.

Europe is tinged red this morning, still digesting the ECB’s announcement of a key rate hike for July, and awaiting US inflation data for May to be released this Friday.

The PSI fell 0.70% to 6257.65 points in the first minutes of trading, with almost all quotes in the red. Only EDP Renováveis escapes, rising 0.30% to 23.26 euros. On the other hand, the parent house, despite being in the negative zone, is the listed company with the least pronounced decline, with a yield of 0.15%. The leader of the decline is Greenvolt, which fell 3.7% to 7.27 euros. The company, led by Manso Neto, announced this Thursday a €100 million capital increase, intending to issue 17,792,576 new shares at a price of EUR 5.62 per unit.

Corticeira Amorim (-1.52%), CTT (-1.49%), BCP (-1.38%), Galp Energia (-1.29%) and Altri (-1.24%) recorded devaluations of more than 1 %. As for Jerónimo Martins, the company with the largest weight in the main Portuguese index, its return at the start of trading was 0.32%.

Despite the national holiday, the Lisbon Stock Exchange continues to operate. This year the national square is only closed on 15 and 18 April and 26 December.
