Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona remain committed to creating a European Super League. The controversial project, which caused a huge resonance in world football in April 2021, may see new events this year. According to the Financial Times, the three clubs have reaffirmed their commitment to creating competitions that have been heavily criticized for being only for the consumption of wealthy clubs. The British newspaper writes that the trio is investigating possible legal problems associated with the creation of the tournament, possible clashes with UEFA and strategies to revive the European Super League. Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid and one of the main competitors, insists that the Super League is not dead and that the current model of football needs to be recreated.

Last June, the official criticized UEFA President Čeferin. “The English teams did not leave, they were forced by FIFA. We lost eight billion, and Cheferin’s salary increased. There are people who have privileges and they want to keep them. I already wanted to get us out of the championship, but the courts forbade it, ”said Florentino Perez.
