Rainbow Six: The Siege | Operation Pole Star Revealed
The most recent operation, Rainbow Six: Siege, has already been fully revealed and brings with it a new operator, several changes, and more.
If you weren’t aware of the competitive aspect of Rainbow Six: Siege, or if you’re a more casual player, the next operation will focus on the famous FPS Preparing to launch Ubisoft. This time the season is called Polar Star and is scheduled to be released next month.
During the most important tournament in the Rainbow Six Siege community, the Six Invitational, another “developer panel” took place. A panel where the developers of Rainbow Six: Siege reveal all the news they have prepared for players in the coming months.
Operation: North Star welcomes new protector Mina Skye, better known by her nickname “Thunderbird”. Thunderbird brings with it Kon’s Healing Station, a mobile device that heals any teammate within its reach. In addition, KHS can put any operator on their feet, allowing the team to be revived from a distance without the need for any physical interaction when the proposed situation is too risky. KHS must be installed manually (not remotely), so device placement at predictable points of conflict, for example narrow places – gives a clear advantage to a team that can take full advantage of the equipment. Despite being a powerful tool, the KHS needs to be chilled between each heal and can be easily destroyed by gunfire or explosions.
As a 1-Armor / 3-Speed Operator, Thunderbird can quickly put itself in the KHS’s position during the prep phase and make a quick and efficient swap as soon as the action begins. As for your arsenal, you can choose between the SPEAR .308 AR (formerly Finka exclusive weapon) or the SPAS-15 shotgun (dedicated to the Skull), as well as the SMG Bearing 9 and Q-929. a pistol as a secondary option.
Along with the arrival of Thunderbird, Operation North Star will bring back another famous map. This time we can see the return of the Favela. Programmers hope this design will cause less geographic confusion and prevent players from getting lost so easily.
The development team will release some of their new mechanics, previously triggered on the Test Server (the Rainbow Six Siege version is free for all owners of the original version of the game, where all these changes will be available for Feedback players). These include a new health system that combines health and armor values into one number.
