Rainbow Six Extraction and Riders Republic adiados

Ubisoft decided to postpone both Rainbow Six Extraction and Riders Republic to provide the best gaming experience.

BUT Ubisoft announced that two of his upcoming games should be postponed. As such, Rainbow Six Extraction is now targeting January 2022, and the extreme sports simulator Riders Republic is slated for October 28th.

In a statement on the deferral of Rainbow Six Extraction, the team says they are seizing the additional opportunity to bring their vision of the game to life: “We are confident that this will provide an immersive, collaborative and immersive gaming experience. we set out to create, and one that you want to play. We look forward to sharing others with you very soon! “

Regarding Riders Republic, Ubisoft said the deferral “will give us more time to fine-tune the experience and give players another opportunity to step up the game ahead of launch and give us feedback.” The original spiritual successor to Steep was due out in February.

The road from Extraction to release was a bit more bumpy than Riders Republic. Originally titled “Rainbow Six Quarantine,” the game was supposed to be released before April 2020 but was ultimately delayed in late 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the nature of the game, Ubisoft changed the name of the game to Rainbow Six Extraction in June.

One game that Ubisoft hasn’t put off (at least for now) is Far Cry 6. The next entry into the wild universe is scheduled for October 7th. Perhaps Ubisoft didn’t want the delayed games to have any impact on what is likely to be one of the most successful games of the year.
