PSI-20 closes in the red with a drop of almost 1.5% Galp by weight – Stock Exchange

The Lisbon Stock Exchange ended the session with a 0.31% drop to 5,488.36, in line with the downtrend recorded in major European markets. Of the 18 listed companies in the PSI-20 index, eleven companies closed the day lower.

Among the heavyweights in Lisbon weighed Galp Energia, depreciated by 1.49%, securities at the level of 8.482 euros. Among the listed companies of the EDP group, the parent company added 0.82%, quoting at the level of 4,787 euros; the renewable energy company, EDPR, closed unchanged at € 23.16.

In retail, Jeronimo Martins and Sonae found themselves in negative territory. Owner Pingo Doce gave up 0.49% to € 18.24, while Sonae fell 0.7% to 91.95 cents.

Note also the BCP, which depreciated 0.15%, with bonds ending the week at 13.28 cents.

Nos was the second listed company to depreciate the most in Friday’s session, falling 1.36%, with shares at € 3.62. Mota-Engil shares fell 1.21% to 1.39 euros after surging more than 3% yesterday on semester earnings.

With few of them listed in positive territory, tech Novabase rose 3.03% to 4.76 euros. CTT, REN and Ramada also posted gains. Correios shares rose 0.21% to € 4.66, REN rose 0.4% to € 2.51 and Ramada rose 0.35% to € 5.80.

The session in European markets was unprofitable on the day the Stoxx 600 closed down 0.56% on negative sentiment in Europe. The morning was marked by expectations for employment figures in the United States, the world’s largest economy. Employment disclosures were inconsistent with estimates, leading investors to anticipate a possible slowdown in economic recovery.
