The gaming market has grown richer with the official announcement of the Steam Deck, Valve’s new game console. The consumer response was very positive and the hardware generated a lot of interest, especially from gamers.

And it looks like this console has it all, because according to recently released data, pre-ordering the Steam Deck is a huge hit!

The official announcement of the Steam Deck portable console came yesterday from the hand of its creator Valve. And the pre-order phase began this Friday, July 16th.

One of the advantages of this console is that it can run great AAA games through a dedicated APU (CPU with Integrated Graphics Processing Unit) from AMD. It will have 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and will be available in three different versions. The simplest 64 GB model will cost € 419; 256 GB will cost 549 euros; and the top model with 512 GB will cost 679 euros.

The rest of the gameplay will be extremely simple. This is because the player can take the console anywhere, turn it on, log in and start playing!

Steam Deck Pre-Orders - Hit

There is currently no information available on how many units of the Steam Deck have already been sold by Valve. However, it is known that the company that owns the gaming platform Steam has already received a huge number of pre-orders.

In addition, Valve's servers were clogged due to the high volume of console redundancy access. Some users also complained about problems and error messages during the process. And these issues appear on both the Valve site and the Steam store.

In another situation, even though it is an account that is more than 10 years old, the system responded with an error stating that the account was too recent to be booked. Perhaps this is the brand's strategy to avoid bulk purchases for later resale.

However, Valve has already added information that the delivery of the two most expensive models should take place only in the first quarter of 2022. And this is another detail that clearly shows that many orders are expected.

It is likely that in the coming days there will be specific information on how many copies of the Steam Deck have already been pre-ordered.
