The Portuguese save an average of around € 161 a month if they work from home, according to Fixando’s Future of Work in Portugal, conducted among 6,500 users of its platform for local services contracts, between June 1st and June 7th.

Since 70% of respondents guarantee that they can work remotely, Fixando stresses that “the savings achieved are very significant given that the minimum wage in Portugal is around 665 euros, and this is mainly due to travel to work and overall cost savings.”

According to the same study, although 60% of respondents no longer work remotely, 40% said that this measure is more profitable, explaining that they not only save financially every month, they also manage to spend more time with their family, and do not spend so much time traveling, ”- said in a statement Fixando.

Regarding service providers, covid-19 and vaccinations, 92% of professionals interviewed said they were not infected, and those who were infected indicated infection in family (46%), work (26%) and friends (13%) …

“Professionals who cannot work remotely are demanding to be vaccinated as soon as possible as a priority group, and 75.2% of respondents would like to get vaccinated immediately, but 19% still do not know if they want to get vaccinated. Only 6 % admit they don’t want to, ”says the same company.

“From Fixando, we can guarantee that 82% of our 25,000 registered professionals will be able to provide their services remotely,” says Alice Nunes, director of new business for the platform.
