Bordalo II was in the country for work and leaves a message: “If they want me to come back with another job, I’ll be happy to return!”.

He is one of the most recognized artists in Portugal and in the world, he was in Luxembourg developing works for the Big Trash Animals project.

At the invitation of the Kamellebutek Art Gallery and with the support of the Chamber of Differdange, Bordalo II and his team worked on this most famous series of his, which “alerts the consumer habits of man.” Bordalo II told Contacto that “animals are in danger due to our abusive and rebellious behavior towards the planet. That’s why I represent everyone – those who are endangered and those who are not yet in danger, “but they may encounter.

The artist recalls a work with a ferret in Braganza that “came at a time when I was thinking a lot about using ferrets to use their fur in brushes, coats, etc.”

“Because Luxembourg does not and does not develop this type of industry, I know that this is the place where this “plastic mink” will be safe! Unfortunately, there are not many places where it is free from human control and exploitation,” Bordalo II explains about this mink with discarded plastic trimmings, which will be available for public viewing at the Center Culturel Régional Aalt Stadhaus in Differdange.

This location was chosen because it is “wide and allows people to stand at a distance to see the work from far and near.”

The artist first worked in the Grand Duchy and left him with the best impressions. “Everything went very well! Everyone was friendly, helpful and the whole process went smoothly.”

Also take the opportunity to leave a message: “If they want me to come back with another job, I’d love to come back!”
