Português AINanoTec Accelerates 15 Technological Ideas, With 6.5 Billion Planned – Technology

The global market for artificial intelligence (AI) is estimated at approximately $ 7.6 billion (€ 6.5 billion). A business potential that serves as an attractive starting point for the AINanoTEC Technology Entrepreneurship Program Idea and Technology Competition, which will be nominated by September 3rd next year.

Promoted by Fraunhofer Portugal, the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) and INOVA-RIA, it is an AI, nanotechnology and information and communication technology (ICT) entrepreneurship program.

This competition is for anyone who wants to explore their ideas or research and development results in these areas with the aim of creating a company and highly skilled jobs.

“The program, aimed at researchers and entrepreneurs who intend to bring their ideas and technologies to the market, aims to support the creation of more than 15 new groundbreaking startups in Portugal,” the organization said in a statement to the newsroom. Wednesday, Thursday 11 August.

“In addition to identifying and screening ideas, technologies and early startups in AI, nanotechnology and ICT, the AINanoTEC program aims to support start-up creation, integrate participants into an international and multidisciplinary network of mentors and ‘stakeholders’, develop tools to support ideas and respond to the needs of pre-startups and the creation of multidisciplinary teams that foster an environment of co-creation and exchange of experience, ”the same source describes in detail.

The ecosystem that the AINanoTEC program will provide to support participants and their projects “includes investors, ‘end-user companies’, technology partners, ‘coaches’, as well as a network of mentors in a wide variety of fields.”

In September, once candidates are selected, they “will have access to bootcamps to develop and accelerate ideas through coworking, recruiting, pitching and mentoring thematic events with an international and multidisciplinary network of mentors and stakeholders.”

Subsequently, the acceleration phase will begin, which will last until April next year, and then the “upscaling” phase with pilots and demonstrations until March 2023.
