Kim Katagiri, 25, is the second oldest member of the Chamber of Deputies. He is one of the most active representatives of the new Brazilian right. As founder of the Movement for a Free Brazil (MBL) in 2013, he led the impeachment march of then-President Dilme Rousseff (PT), leading the famous 1.4 million gathering on Avenida Paulista alongside another popular Vem to street organization.

A former ally of President Jair Bolsonaro, the congressman is now sharply criticizing the federal government and the leadership of the chief executive. In interviews, he assumed he had no idea that the president would abandon an anti-corruption and liberal economic agenda. In the Chamber, he was involved in recent conflicts with the MP Eduardo Bolsonaro (Patriota), the president’s son.
