Political Crisis Invented by BE and PCP | Opinion

The country has begun to emerge from the pandemic crisis, the economy is gaining momentum and leaving behind difficult times of isolation, unemployment is at its lowest level in 15 years, 6.4 percent, money from the Recovery and Resilience Plan will launch the country at an unprecedented pace of development. But perhaps this is why the BU and the PCP wanted to provoke early elections by failing the budget, as if they wanted to hinder progress and well-being.

They said that this was not enough, that they wanted more for the Portuguese, but in the end they left their situation even worse and uncertain.
It’s because? You don’t notice. There is no rational argument to justify this. Obviously, they seem out of touch with reality and people’s expectations, unable to see beyond the navel of their party. No one really wanted an election, except for parties like Chega or Iniciativa Liberal, which could grow and outpace the BE and PCP. And those parties that were once the bearers of hope are now helping the right and far right grow, destroying the path of achievement and economic and social progress.

Therefore, early elections are announced. A crisis. Instability. Uncertainty. Interrupted projects and other interfering projects.
Opposition parties, especially to the left of the PS, reject the Budget, which gives the highest wage growth ever, 40 euros, an extraordinary increase in pensions to 1,097 euros, gradually free nurseries that will benefit many thousands of families, the end of the payment by facilitating the treasury of companies , the professional status of cultural workers and a decent work program to combat instability and informality, an unprecedented increase in family benefits to help fight poverty and, above all, child poverty. Changes in IRS levels to increase middle class income. Measures for young people so that they do not have to emigrate. More public investment and public services, especially in health and education. There is a lot of direct foreign investment. And there are so many other things that would improve the lives of people and companies in what has been the most left-wing budget in the last six years, and many other things are open to proposals for change.

And suddenly, where there used to be bridges, walls appear, where there was a dialogue, irreconcilability appears. The representation of BE and the PCP in the negotiations was perceived today as totalitarian minorities who want to get everything and give nothing in return. Because what really worried them was whether they would lose more if they went to the polls now or in two years, when bazooka money was running around the country, in a petty and irresponsible party count, with full dedication. contempt for political stability, for people’s lives and for our international image.

Thus, they become useless for the stability of the political system and the progress of the country. They don’t protect anything. They just want to scream. Indifferent to the will of people, who, above all, want politicians to understand each other, they want to know how to design their future, to have a good job and money in their pocket for the economy to work well. Nobody understands.
