Pixel 6 processor may be Exynos under a different name
We recently announced here what Google showed your new Pixel 6where the most notable note seems to be its own processor, Google Tensor… However, these processors may not be as new and innovative as Google is promoting them.
According to the latest information, Tensor processors are essentially renamed Samsung Exynos chips. More precisely, now there are rumors that Google Tensor is actually a Samsung Exynos 9855 with a different name, a processor that the South Koreans have not yet officially presented.

The Exynos 9855 was codenamed Whitechapel, the same as the codename Tensor before its announcement, and it would be an unusual coincidence not to connect to it. So the performance of the next Tensor, the Exynos 9855 alias, is higher than the Exynos 9840, the Exynos 2100 alias that we know from the Galaxy S21, but lower than the next Exynos 9925, which will be sold as the Exynos 2200, which will go on sale. 2022 and should integrate AMD GPU.
There were already rumors that Google and Samsung had to collaborate to develop Tensor. Of course, the chip may still surprise us, but for now we need to figure out what is really true in Google’s explanation of the AI performance of the chip.
