PES is called eFootball and the official trailer will give you nightmares!

For many years now, PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) has been trying to compete with various versions of FIFA, but without much success. This year’s release has shown an impressive evolution, leaving the possibility in the air that FIFA 22 may have a worthy opponent in PES 2022, but that doesn’t seem to be happening.

It was officially announced today that PES will virtually cease to exist and will simply be called eFootball. The confirmation was made by posting the first images of the new game via the official YouTube account. However, one cannot fail to note the lack of quality in this video.

When we watch the trailer, we even get the feeling that the person performing voiceover he is not talking about the game that we see in the screenshots. The movements of the players are far from smooth and natural, you can observe countless situations in which the ball hits the “air walls”, and the players slide in the air.

While the players’ faces are impressively detailed in most situations, in others they don’t even look the same people. A great example of this is the image used in the video above, in which it looks more like a Messi lookalike.

eFootball is coming this fall, free and cross-platform.

At the end of the video, Konami reveals some details about the launch of eFootball. The game will be available for most platforms:

  • Playstation 4
  • Playstation 5
  • Xbox X / S series
  • Xbox one
  • PC (Steam)
  • Smartphone (Android / iOS)

The initial version (end of September) will be released only for consoles, where you can play games using 9 commands:

  • Barcelona football club
  • FC Bayern Munich
  • Juventus
  • Manchester United
  • Arsenal
  • Vasco da Gama
  • Flamengo
  • Sao Paulo
  • River Plate

While not yet officially confirmed, it is likely that the full version for all platforms will be released in early October, where all teams and championships will be integrated. In addition, online leagues will be available, as well as a mode similar to the popular FIFA Ultimate Team.

In winter (so far without more details on dates) a smartphone version of eFootball will be released with the addition of controller support, which is the only way to play. cross-platform with players on consoles or PC.

Some sections of eFootball will be paid, but Konami has yet to provide details on this.
