The striker, who left Sporting, is heading to Forte dei Marmi, where he spent three seasons and was the champion of the Transalpine Games.

Pedro Gil, the 41-year-old striker who has represented Sporting CP for the past five seasons, has left Alvalade and will continue to play for Italy’s Forte dei Marmi.

For the player, this is a return to the club where he was from 2013/14 to 2015/16, being a three-time champion.

Pedro Gil left a public message on the way back to the club, where he was happy.

It should be remembered that the former Spanish national team player split from Sporting, with whom he was twice national champion and twice European champion.

Pedro Gil, one of the most famous in the world, has a program full of achievements, he has won all the competitions. In Portugal, where he represented Infante Sagres (2000/01 – 2001/02), FC Porto (2002/03 – 2006/07; 2009/10 – 2011/12) and Sporting (2016/17 – 2020/21), he holds nine national titles, four Super Cups and two Portuguese Cups.

In Italy, where he played for Valdagno (2012/13) and Forte dei Marmi (2013/14 – 2015/16), he is a four-time transalpine champion, winning three Super Cups and the Italian Cup.

The player, who started in Neue (to whom Jordi Bargallo returns after leaving Oliveirense), spent two years in Reus (2007/08 and 2008/09), where he won the Club World Cup and became the European Champion. He won this title again in Alvalada (2018/19 and 2020/21).

Choosing Spain, he dominated major competitions, winning six World Championships, seven European Championships and three Nations Cups.
