Peabody, the world’s smallest horse, was announced Wednesday by Forbes online. At just six weeks old, the cub weighs about seven pounds, which is less than most dogs or even a watermelon.

Peabody was rejected by her mother for being too young to prevent her from breastfeeding.

Today the cub lives in a luxury home with three bulldogs in California. Its new owner, 55-year-old Faith Smith, is a horse trainer in San Diego.

“Peabody is the smallest horse in the world for his age. Horses are not pets, but Peabody is so small that he cannot live on the street until he grows up, and we are not sure that this will happen, ”he said.

Peabody’s original owners told Faith that the vets advised her to euthanize him, given that he could not walk and his jaw was out of alignment. Experts also established then that the offspring was blind and deaf. However, the owners spoke to Faith, who did not hesitate to say that she had adopted him.

Since arriving in San Diego, Peabody has grown and her jaws have aligned. He also learned to walk and sees perfectly, although it has been confirmed that he is deaf. The little horse also has an excellent relationship with the dogs she plays with every day.

“Right now he lives with me and the dogs at home,” Faith explained.
