Pandemic, myths about it and political uses of the health crisis
The death rate / infection rate is 2.8%, better than 40 countries in Europe, America and Africa. Peru and Mexico are close to 10%
We have had a pandemic for a year and a half, and there are still many questions about this that science does not know how to answer. Only left-wing journalists know about this.
Incidentally, this journalism, which columnist Augusto Nunes called “funerary journalism,” seems to be rooting for these deaths. Television presenters reported with visible satisfaction every hundred thousand deaths in Brazil. They fought early treatment like another plague, and did not even give a voice to the doctors who defended it. We have to agree that the mechanisms of infection and morbidity have not yet been revealed, as well as the mechanisms of treatment are unknown and, it seems, are far from being discovered.
The origin of the virus cannot even be investigated under pain of insulting the Chinese “comrades”.
You see, reader, how the big press doesn’t even mention this topic. The myth of “isolation”, which the Brazilian press has so much, even fiercely defended, and which has been embraced by many leaders around the world without hesitation, and which so many millions of humble people have deprived themselves of their livelihoods, is gradually being dispelled as the numerical values of the results are displayed and interpreted.
In Europe, only one country – Sweden – did not accept the “close everything” logic. This left schools, commerce and industry open. This did not impose the use of masks: use whoever wants. As a defense, the country has adopted a public awareness plan developed by the scientist Anders Tegnell, based mainly on individual responsibility, hygiene, social distance and border surveillance.
At the same time, Sweden pushed for the purchase of vaccines, which, like the rest of the European Community, was unsuccessful: the states producing the immunizing agent sold and did not supply what was promised, under pressure from their governments to vaccinate their vaccines. citizens in advance.
It goes without saying that the Swedish health authorities have come under fire from their European counterparts for not accepting “isolation”. To “vaccinate” the reader against the indiscriminate political use of the pandemic in these areas, I show a small table below that lists three European countries with the same population as Sweden, plus its own, its infection and its deaths, remembering that only Sweden , Sweden across Europe did not accept strict restrictions and maintained their economy. He serves as a weapon for any filthy leftist, an adherent of social control, like Stalin, when he comes to defend the so-called “isolation”. As we know, not that far ahead. These people live in a different reality, and their dogmas do not allow discussion for them. For them, isolation is everything, period. But let’s look at the Swedish example, which is not entirely true:
EARNINGS OF THE POPULATION AT COVID DEATH AT COVID
(millions) (thousands) (people)
Czech Republic 10.7 1700 30300
Greece 10.6 426 12 700
Portugal 10.3 887 17.100
Sweden 10.2 1090 14600
The index that really does end up measuring the damage done by the pandemic is the death toll. The infected person undoubtedly matters as it is he who puts the pressure on the medical professionals and equipment, in addition to being responsible for the consequences that the infection, even the treatment, will endure for some time or even for the rest of his life. But, without a doubt, even irreparable damage was done.
It should be noted that although Sweden refused to be “isolated”, it suffered from a virus that was much milder than the virus that plagued the Czechs and the Portuguese, who adopted the toughest restrictions. Only Greece, out of four countries with an equal population, performed better than Sweden, the only country that did not “shut it down”.
Vaccination rates in the four countries were very similar. Almost a coincidence. Perhaps the best result in Greece is due to the fact that he chose Janssen’s vaccine in a single dose that works faster. But it is clear, and the reader only sees it here, because the “big press” is hiding that “isolation” has nothing to do with the viral march.
Much has been said about the number of Covid deaths in Brazil. We reaffirm that this is the worst part of a pandemic, as nothing is more irreparable than death. Brazil’s impressive number of deaths have been widely exploited for political reasons, mostly by groups interested in undermining and overthrowing the government, ultimately disrespecting the pain of others.
The reader must have already noticed that TV presenters (I repeat) are almost pleased to announce mortality and almost hide the decline in mortality when it does. The emphasis is on the absolute number of deaths, politically and shamefully, rather than a proportional number, as it should be. After all, we are the sixth most populous country in the world, and it would be childish or dishonest to ignore this fact when mentioning our dead from Covid.
We were greatly influenced, and it’s tragic, but we are not the second country in terms of the relative number of deaths, as the “funeral press” assures us, always using absolute numbers. Peru has twice as many deaths per 100,000 inhabitants as Brazil. They lost proportionally more of their children than Brazil, even Hungary, Bosnia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bulgaria, which this press hides. This does not include data from Russia and China, which are unreliable because they are hidden by their dictatorial governments, and from India, which also decided to hide them in some way.
Brazil can also cure the infected. Our mortality rate is 2.8% better than in about forty countries in Europe, America and Africa (for example, in Yemen – almost 20%, and in Peru and Mexico – about 10%). This is not visible in the Brazilian press. Only here at Jornal Option.

The dollar continues to reflect the political scenario
Yesterday, financial agents evaluated the opposite decision of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) regarding the so-called secret budget. In addition, a decision was made by STF Minister Gilmar Méndez to issue an injunction that would exclude the Bolsa Família from the spending cap rule, with investors trying to understand how this measure would affect the processing of the transitional PEC in the Chamber of Deputies. Oh this PEC!!!!
Since he is an exchange investor, any reading that the budget will be exceeded or become more flexible will negatively affect the exchange market, whether through the PEC or in any other way. We will continue with volatility today.
Looking beyond, the US Central Bank (Fed), although slowing down the pace of monetary tightening at its December meeting, issued a tougher-than-expected statement warning that its fight against inflation was not yet over, raising fears that rising US interest rates will push the world’s largest economy into recession.
The currency market continues to react to political news. The voting on the PEC is saved for today. It is expected that it will indeed be reviewed to open the way tomorrow for discussions on the 2023 budget.
For today on the calendar we will have an index of consumer confidence in the eurozone. Good luck and good luck in business!!

The EU has reached a political agreement on limiting gas prices – 19.12.2022
The agreement was approved by a supermajority at a ministerial meeting of member states in Brussels, Belgium, after months of discussions about the best way to contain the rise in natural gas prices in the bloc caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. .
The value set by the countries is well below the proposal made by the European Commission, the EU’s executive body, in November: 275 EUR/MWh. However, the countries leading the cap campaign were in favor of an even lower limit, around 100 EUR/MWh.
Germany, always wary of price controls, voted in favor of 180 euros, while Austria and the Netherlands, also skeptical of the cap, abstained. Hungary, the most pro-Russian country in the EU, voted against.
The instrument will enter into force on 15 February, but only if natural gas prices on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange exceed 180 euros/MWh for three consecutive days. In addition, the difference compared to a number of global benchmarks should be more than 35 euros.
Italy, the EU’s biggest supporter of the ceiling, has claimed responsibility for the measure. “This is a victory for Italy, which believed and worked for us to reach this agreement,” Environment and Energy Minister Gilberto Picetto tweeted.
“This is a victory for Italian and European citizens who demand energy security,” he added.
Currently, the gas price in Amsterdam is around 110 EUR/MWh, which is already a reflection of the agreement in Brussels – in August the figure even broke the barrier of 340 EUR/MWh.
However, Russia has already threatened to stop exports to countries that adhere to the ceiling. (ANSA).
