Remember the Opel Manta? This Opel, built over 50 years ago, had a four-cylinder petrol engine. The carmaker recently announced that the Opel Manta is back, but apparently in an electric version.

This “new” Opel will be the first electric mod in the history of the German manufacturer.

The new Opel Manta will receive a battery of 31 kWh

The EV segment continues to grow, and there are already several brands that are betting on their iconic models and turning them into electrics. Opel Manta will be one of the next and arrive in style.

According to the channel Automaton worldThe new Opel Manta GSe ElektroMOD will ditch the four-cylinder petrol engine, which will be replaced with a 108 kW electric propeller (equivalent to 147 horsepower).

The battery will have a capacity of 31 kWh, which will provide a cruising range of 200 km. As for the charging time of the battery, according to the manufacturer, it will be less than 4 hours thanks to the 9.0 kW on-board single-phase or three-phase AC charger.

At the interiors level, it will be a completely revamped model, full of technologies from OPEL itself (LED lighting, Pixel-Vizor and Pure Panel cab). Also worth noting is the Marshall Bluetooth box, which guarantees the best possible sound.

In the meantime, it remains to find out the price and how much will be released on the market. Considering the performance, this car is promising! You can see more photos and other additional information on the company's website. Opel...
