Online Store Cancels Orders For Super Mario 3D All-Stars Due To “Extreme Shortage”

when Super Mario 3D All-Stars was announced last week, Nintendo made it clear what it will be “limited edition“.

Now, the online store Base.com (located in the UK) has apparently been forced to “cancel all orders” as Nintendo and its distributors in the region cannot guarantee that more products will appear after launch.

ResetEra user ‘Geobros’ shared a message they recently received from Base and also noted that they were “among the first buyers there” and ordered the game on September 4th (the day after the game was announced).

“We have just received a notification that we have received the Super Mario 3D All-stars (Nintendo Switch) award, and it is very short. Also, since Nintendo and their UK distributors cannot give us any assurance that more stock will be available after release, we made the unfortunate decision to cancel all orders. “

It is worth noting physical pre-orders are still available in other UK countries… There is also a digital version.

This follows from last weekend when it was discovered scalpers have already tried to resell their copies games on eBay, as well as the news that the 3-in-1 collection has become second best selling game of this year on Amazon
