North Korea fires missiles again, forcing Japan to issue a warning

The Seoul military warned that North Korea had launched an “unidentified ballistic missile”.

North Korea fired another ballistic missile on Wednesday, prompting Japan to issue a warning to people not to leave their homes in Miyagi, Yamagata and Niigata prefectures, according to international agencies citing North Korea’s emergency response system. However, the South Korean army claims that North Korea has launched “an additional ballistic missile”.

According to the same source, the ballistic missile will fly over Japan towards the Pacific Ocean. The military authorities are now analyzing the characteristics of the fired missile, such as range, altitude and speed, but all indications are that it is a long-range missile.

The Seoul military had previously warned that North Korea had launched an “unidentified ballistic missile.”
