Eventually Alexander Frota refused and went to the press to apologize to Cayetano Veloso. But that wasn’t enough to get him out of the courtroom.

The allegations were serious, and a Rio de Janeiro judge forced Frota to pay the musician €17,800 in compensation for false testimony. These statements led to a vicious attack on Cayetano Veloso on social media.
“I don’t know how I could”
“I want to apologize to Cayetano, I am his fan, I love Cayetano and I don’t understand how I could behave like this,” the former actor and MP told the Brazilian press.
The case dates back to 2020, when Frota, speaking about the relationship of the musician and singer with Paula Lavigne (53), when the businesswoman was 13 years old, accused Cayetano Veloso of pedophilia.
Fleet cannot be elected deputy
Alexander Frot was unlucky. The former actor, in addition to a large compensation – Alexandra Frota had to pay almost 18 thousand euros to Cayetano Veloso for insult and slander – could not be elected as a state deputy from Sao Paulo. However, Frota wasted no time and had already revealed Press who will now side with Lula da Silva.
As a reminder, Frota was elected federal deputy in 2018 by the supporters of Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
