Navigator will raise prices for its paper napkins – toilet paper, napkins, tea towels, hand towels, and more – from January 15, the company announced on Tuesday.

In a statement, Navigator justifies the decision “by unsustainable and continuing increases in key cost drivers, namely electricity, natural gas, pulp, chemicals, packaging materials, wooden pallets and logistics.”

So, he explains, he will apply ” surcharge (additional cost) energy, logistics and products the price of its tissue paper (toilet paper, napkins, tea towels, hand towels, etc.), increasing by 15% to counter an unexpected and ongoing increase in key cost drivers. ” The company adds that it will review the continuity or incremental value on a monthly basis “based on changing market conditions.”

“Navigator believes this exceptional measure is essential to ensure the long-term sustainability of not only its business model, but also the global supply chain with its customers and suppliers,” he emphasizes.

The decision came after the company led by Antonio Redondo announced on December 8 that it had raised its price list for uncoated paper for printing and writing (UWF) by 10-15% from January 3 by 10-15%. The reasons given then were the same: increased costs.
