EA NATO statement said that the organization’s Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Bettina Kadenbach, met this week in Israel “with a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense and the Israeli National Administration.”

“Ambassador Kadenbach stressed NATO’s determination to work with like-minded partners like Israel in today’s challenging security environment,” the Atlantic Alliance said.

Among the points on which it is “ready to improve political dialogue” with Israel, NATO highlighted “resilience, the impact of climate change, disruptive technologies, women, peace and security, and even hybrid cyber threats.”

Kadenbach’s visit, according to the organization, was part of his “regular meetings” with his Israeli counterparts and provided “an opportunity to exchange views on current security issues and the longstanding partnership between NATO and Israel based on political dialogue and cooperation.”
