During Monster Hunter Digital Event This Wednesday (26th) Capcom has released a new trailer Monster Hunter Tales 2: Wings of Destruction (Switch). The video provides more details on the history of the game, which uses mysterious lights to infuriate the world’s monsters. In addition, new gameplay information has been revealed, including the ability to hatch monster eggs and customize your skills.
The latest trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin showed fans for the first time a raging light that suddenly began infecting monsters around the world. The trailer also revealed new details about the protagonist’s connection to Razewing Ratha, the whereabouts of his grandfather, the legendary Monster Rider Red, and some of the characters who returned from Monster Hunter Stories. While the connection between the Angry Beams, the global disappearance of Rathalos and the birth of the Corrosive Ratha is unclear, players can count on the help of their Battle buddy Avinia and their Monstey Frostfang as they return from Monster Hunter Stories to unravel the mystery.
The May digital event not only provided tantalizing details of the story for fans, but also provided a first-hand experience of how the Monster Riders are building and improving their fellow Monstie. To collect new monster eggs, players will have to explore the depths of any monster lairs they encounter on the field. Monster lairs come in all shapes and sizes, with rarer pits containing elusive monster eggs that may have genes that are hard to find. Back in the stables with new eggs, players can hatch them to find out which new monster they’ve got, and use the Rite of Channeling feature to transfer unique genes from one monster to the next. By combining the genes of the same element or attack type, players can create an incredibly specialized team of monsters, or mix the genes of different monsters to create a more versatile monster capable of using the abilities of all types of attacks and elements.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is coming to Switch on July 9th. Pre-order is open for National online store…
