Miguel Oliveira will perform for the first time in a car race as a guest.

Miguel Oliveira will make his auto racing debut on the weekend of September 3rd to 5th. The Portuguese driver will take part in the 24-hour race in Barcelona, ​​serving the True Racing team, and will take part in an endurance race under the command of KTM X-BOW GTX, the new car of the Austrian brand. best known for motorcycle racing.

“I am very excited and proud to be able to participate in this race,” said Miguel Oliveira. “Motorcycle racing has always been a part of my life, but my career started with the Portuguese Kart Championship and therefore I always wanted to compete on four wheels,” said the KTM driver.

The X-BOW GTX is powered by an Audi 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder engine. It weighs about 1048 kg and has 530 horses, which is much higher than what Oliveira is used to in MotoGP. The Portuguese driver drives an RC16 motorcycle that weighs about 157 kg and has 250 horsepower.

This is the first time that Miguel Oliveira has entered a car race and the Portuguese has won the MotoGP Grand Prix three times for Team KTM.

Miguel Oliveira is currently contested for the MotoGP World Championship, in which he is in eighth position with 85 points, having already registered a win (in Barcelona) and two runners-up (Italy and Germany) this season.
