Mercadona, also slated to open in 2022, is currently recruiting in Guimaraes, Braga, Pauvois de Varzim, Montijo, Setubal and Santarem.

With 28 stores operating throughout Portugal, in the Porto, Braga, Aveiro and Viana do Castelo districts, Mercadona will open its last store in 2021 on December 13th in Santa Maria da Feira.

Last year, when 20 supermarkets were closed in Portugal, the Portuguese branch of Mercadona generated revenues of 186 million euros.
