MEO with 5G mobile internet for another 5 € per month

No, Portugal does not yet have a commercial 5G network, i.e. Internet access for end users. Our country it’s still very late and also an auction for the allocation of frequencies.

National operators do not stop and even launched some products for the fifth generation network. On the MEO 5G page, you can see that customers will be able to get 5G mobile internet for an additional € 5 per month.


About four months ago, trading began on the operators of the fifth generation mobile network frequencies. Today was ninety-fifth day of trading 5G main trading day.

5G will provide speeds 10 times faster than 4G for the same amount of data. On the MEO page There is also some interesting information. For example, according to common information, whoever wants to have access to the 5G network will have to pay an additional 5 euros. On the same page, you can see that if the customer enters into a one-year contract, the cost will be halved.

The fifth generation of mobile communications will expand the range of innovative services. Virtual and augmented reality, vehicles controlled remotely or autonomously, remote operations are some of the examples that can be based on a communication network based on fifth generation networks.
