Meghan Markle believed there was a “conspiracy” that was hatched by the nobleman as soon as he moved to Kensington Palace during his courtship with Prince Harry.

Markle, 38, began to fear palace courtiers would damage his reputation because of his American management style once the couple moved to Frogmore Cottage.

“He believes there is a conspiracy against him and he basically put himself in isolation when they moved to Frogmore,” a friend said to The Sunday Times.

“I thought he felt like an outsider from the start. This is not the past life and he wants to get out. “

He also began to feel isolated and missed his mother and friends in LA. A friend told The Sunday Times that Meghan’s financial independence was the driving force behind him and Harry’s decision to leave the nobility and flee to England to get sunny California.

“One of the things Meghan is fighting for is not earning an income,” said a friend. “He always works and I think he feels unfulfilled. Having financial freedom is a big part of those who want to leave.

Despite reports that Harry, 35, was struggling in LA, the couple developed friendships with Adele, and the Duke of Sussex had befriended the Silicon Valley crowd and even Leonardo DiCaprio, whom he met at Google Camp last year, reported The Sunday Times.

“I’m sure their social life will consist of a dinner party with people they can trust and connect with,” Melanie Bromley, head of news operations for NBC’s E! the channel told The Sunday Times.

“They will be very careful about opening up their social circle too much, because associating with the wrong people has the potential to greatly damage their image and plans.”

As the couple awaits quarantine restrictions to subside, they enjoy time with their 1-year-old son, Archie, in a Los Angeles mansion owned by Tyler Perry.
