A The cinetechnia of the National Guard Republican (GNR) is celebrating its 65th anniversary and the date (circle) has not been overlooked. On social media, the military posted several stories and curiosities about teams that unite people and dogs for the common good and safety.

this Thursday at Facebook, it was the day to share another “chapter”. They remembered that the main character was the dog “Cat”, a dog belonging to GNR, who first appeared in a Portuguese film.

“The presence of GNR dogs in various television programs, films, plays, operas, soap operas, TV series, plays, etc. has always been constant over time,” the military recalls.

The first participation “took place on May 29, 1964” in “a Portuguese film directed by Constantino Estevez, in which our dog” Cat “, who was called” Farrusco “in the film, was the main character”, is still remembered.

The film is titled “9 Boys and a Dog” and the synopsis shows that it is “a touching story of Pedrito and his dog Farrusco.”
