Brian Henson – the puppeteer, director, producer and son of creator of the famous “Muppets” Jim Henson – is looking to add another title: landlord. His Spanish Colonial Rehabilitation style villa is ready to rent in Hollywood Hills for $ 20,000 per month.

Henson has a tendency for Spanish-style places; in 2003, he sold a slightly smaller but similar place a few miles away in Los Feliz with a history of star-studded owners including Olivia Wilde, Natalie Portman and Joe Jonas.

This house, perched on 1 hectare of land, was built in 1929 and blends period details with modern facilities covering 5,300 square feet. Interior spaces include radiant rotunda entries, wooden paneled offices, and formal living rooms with bars and fireplaces.

Malibu tiles touch the formal dining room and kitchen in the center of the island, which opens into the courtyard with string lights, Saltillo tiles, and fountains. Elsewhere there are four bedrooms and six bathrooms, including a guest suite with a lounge accessed by a circular staircase.

Patio and lawn that offer city views down to the pool on the side of the hill which is located on the edge of the property.

David Findley from the Agency holds the listing.

As a puppeteer, Henson’s credits include “Back to Oz,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “The Witches.” The 56-year-old man also directed the films “The Muppet Christmas Carol” and “Muppet Treasure Island” in the 1990s and currently serves as chairman of Jim Henson Co.
