BUT The concentration of the 30th March for Jesus took place this morning at the height of Metro Luz, on Avenida Tiradentes (9). The march, which gathered evangelists around the sound cars, continued towards the Plaza de la Heroes de la Brazilian Expeditionary Force, near Campo de Marte, in the north of São Paulo.

A stage has been set up at the arrival point, which receives national gospel music titles throughout the day. More than 9,000 caravans from different parts of the country brought the public to Sao Paulo to participate in the march this year, according to the organizers of the event.

Brazil Event President Estevam Hernandez spoke at the opening in a sound machine and asked that it be a day of blessings and that God bless the Brazilian families. “This march will become a watershed because we know that the people whose God is the Lord are happy,” he said.

President Jair Bolsonaro attended the event and also delivered a speech. During the speech, Bolsonaro spoke about abortion, gender ideology and the decriminalization of drugs. Flags defended in the 2018 campaign, some of which were forgotten during his reign. In a critical tone, Bolsonaro also commented on policies in other Latin American countries.

“I see how people from these other countries [da América do Sul] live, see how our brothers live in Venezuela, how we live, other countries such as Argentina, Chile and Colombia. We do not want this for our Brazil. Brazil is a strength in every aspect, especially in the person who lives here,” the president said.

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, March for Jesus cannot take place in 2020 and 2021. Gospel performances run until 22:00 at Praça Heróis da Força Expedicionário Brasileira. Additional information can be found at website developments.
