Together with the President of the ECB, the international economic situation will be analyzed, and this meeting has already been scheduled for some time as part of the invitations that the current head of state promoted among his advisers and international leaders.
In the second round, the Council will make a decision on the president’s proposal to dissolve parliament and call early elections.
This Thursday, the President of the Republic approved the schedule of hearings to be held in the context of the preparation of early elections.
Tomorrow, Friday, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa welcomes the social partners. At 14:00, the employers’ confederations will travel to Belém, where they will be greeted together. This will be followed, starting at 17:00, by the CGTP, UGT and at 19:30 by the President of the Economic and Social Council.
Saturday afternoon it will be Marcelo’s turn to listen to the parties. Hearings begin at 14:00 with the Liberal Initiative, followed by Chega, The Greens, PAN, PKP, BE, SDP and finally at 20:30 the Socialist Party.
