Police said the man was stabbed to death after intervening at an illegal rave in south London.

Sean Williams, 34, was stabbed in the neck early Sunday morning after attending an unlicensed music event in Lewisham, underground police said.

Despite the efforts of the officers and paramedics, Mr. Williams was pronounced dead just after 6 am.

The police launched an investigation into the murder.

Chief Detective Keith Kiran said, “At this early stage, we believe that both the victim and the suspect attended an unlicensed music event on Culverley Road, SE6, during which there was a fight between two men.

“The victim intervened in this fight and was fatally injured.

“I know that there were about 100 people at the event, and someone who was there knows the identity of the culprit.

“I want these people to do the right thing and contact us.

“I also urge the person in charge to surrender to the police.”

According to the Metropolitan, no arrests were made.

The second victim, 37 years old, took herself to a hospital in south London with a non-life-threatening stab wound to her hand, police added.
