The Lisbon Stock Exchange closed in positive territory for the second straight session in early 2022. Thus, the PSI-20 index rose by 0.58% to 5,670.45 points, while nine quotes ended the day in positive territory and ten – with a fall.

Galp Energia shares rose markedly: the shares of the company, led by Andy Brown, rose in price by 5.13% to 9,178 euros, a maximum of two months. The company was included in Bernstein’s list of possible winners for 2022, in which the Portuguese company was classified as superior. The investment bank has named several listed European energy companies as “attractive investment opportunities”, such as BP, Shell or Repsol, which are also classified as “superior.” According to Oswald Klint’s analysis, the memo, cited by Bloomberg, highlights the “financial, operational and ESG momentum” of these companies.

The session was also positive for BCP, where bonds rose 2.68% to € 0.1493. The company’s bonds rose nearly 3% in the session, even on the day when the stock Autonomous Research LLP has revised its BCP price target downward. (which belongs to the AllianceBernstein group). Particular attention was paid to Jeronimo Martins, whose shares rose 1.79% to 20.52 euros per share.

The heavyweights of the EDP group finished the session with a minus. EDP ​​Renováveis ​​posted the biggest drop on Tuesday, with bonds down 2.45% to € 21.48, while the parent company closed just a few euros in the red: EDP fell 0.02% on the bond price at 4,879 euros.

On a day when more than half of listed companies closed in the red, Ibersol lost 1.13% (€ 5.26), Corticeira Amorim fell 0.89% (€ 11.10) and CTT fell 0.65% ( 4.62 euros). In the telecommunications sector, Nos dropped 0.63% to close at 3.44 euros.

Among the gains, he also notes the increase in prices for Pharol by 3.78% (0.0796 euros) and for Mota-Engil, which recorded an increase of 1.85% (1.319 euros). Navigator rose 0.95% to € 3.398, Greenvolt rose 0.77% (€ 6.52) and Ramada rose 0.56% (€ 7.2).
