Surprise in the League of Nations!

France, the reigning champions, were knocked out of the Final Four after losing 1-0 to Croatia in the fourth round game of Group A1 tonight.

At the Stade de France, Luka Modric decided the game just five minutes later from a penalty. Mike Menian still touched the ball, but could not avoid a goal from the Croatian midfielder.

The French team dominated the match, but were not smart enough to win back at least one point. Moreover, according to Opta, for the first time after 23 games, Les Bleus finished the game without goals, which has already happened since November 2020 (against Finland).

However, this result makes it impossible for France to regain the title, not least because in Copenhagen Denmark did what they had to do and beat Austria 2-0.

In the 21st minute, Jonas Wind made the score 1-0 with an assistant Male, and then assisted Skov Olsen himself in the second minute of the match, in the 37th minute.

Denmark thus leads the group with nine points, two more than Croatia. Austria is third with four points, France with two.
