After naming Kylie Jenner as the youngest billionaire in the world made herself twice, Forbes recently exposed moguls for representing herself far richer than she really was, leaving Kris Jenner’s mother at the head of a potential for damage from exposure that could cause the brand Kardashian-Jenner which she spent years building.
“Kris and Kylie are afraid and afraid that this will damage their brand, and worse, they can have problems with the government,” the source said revealed to The Sun.
The source also claimed that the mother-daughter team was “certainly worried” about potential legal and social consequences for allegedly overestimating the value of the highly successful Kylie Cosmetics brand through shady means.
“Kylie’s business is significantly smaller, and less profitable, than the family for years leading the cosmetics industry and media outlets, including Forbes, to believe,” report read, with Kylie replying via Twitter, “I think this is a reputable site. What I see are a number of inaccurate statements and assumptions that are not proven. I have never asked for any titles or tried to lie there EVER. Point.”
Jenner’s lawyer, Michael Kump, demanded the withdrawal of the mag money in a statement Friday:
“We have reviewed the Forbes article which accused Kylie of being involved in fraud and a ‘network of lies’ to increase her net worth. The article was full of outright lies. Forbes’s accusation that Kylie and her accountant “falsified tax returns” is completely wrong and we demand that Forbes immediately and publicly revoke it and other statements. “
Forbes has recalculated Kylie’s net worth under $ 900 million.
