It’s been almost a decade and a half since Keeping up with the Kardashians changed the course of the reality show, and its launch finally ending in 2021 with season 20, as star Kim Kardashian recently shared in a lengthy Instagram post.
Why now? Kris Jenner tried to explain the decision to end the show in a recent interview with series creator Ryan Seacrest.
Momager said that now is “the right time” and call in to Live with Ryan Seacrest…
Chris gave a fairly simple answer, saying, “I think 20 sounded good until 2020, but 20 seemed like the right time.”
She is looking forward to the opportunity to “take a moment, breathe and [for] all [to] slow down a little. Not to slow down professionally, but … figure out what our next steps are. “
“Yesterday we had to tell the team about it, so we all cried.”
According to Chris, “Chloe … is probably the one who’s going through the hardest and has really not stopped crying since we announced.”
As for whether Chris has fully processed this, she says “really not.”
“It’s funny, when we were talking yesterday, I kind of realized that I was really strong. And, you know, this is the right decision, ”said Chris. “Today I wake up and think about the first time you and I were doing live interviews and I was so excited and so nervous.”
Chris ended with a call Keeping up with the Kardashians “The best home movies we can ever make”, adding that they are “grateful for every moment.”
