J. Alexander Kueng, a police officer charged with the death of George Floyd, was released on bail

The second of four Minneapolis police officers accused of killing George Floyd was reportedly released from prison after sending bail.

J. Alexander Kueng, 26, was released from Hennepin County Prison shortly before 7:30 at night. Friday after fulfilling the guarantee set at $ 750,000, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Keung is one of three officers currently fired who are accused of aiding and abetting second-degree murder and assisting and abetting second-degree murder because of their role in helping to trap Floyd before he died on Remembrance Day.

His release came after police newcomer Thomas Lane, 37, managed to send a $ 750,000 bail through crowdfunding efforts.

Lane was working on the fourth shift when he held Floyd’s feet while supervisor Derek Chauvin knelt around his neck for almost nine minutes.

Keung was also fresh for the troops and in the third shift when he helped hold Floyd during his fatal capture.

The third officer, Tou Thao, is still being held in prison on bail of $ 750,000.

Chauvin is also still in prison, facing second-degree murder and second-degree murder with a $ 1.25 million bail.

If convicted as charged, the four defendants face a sentence of 40 years in prison.
