“It’s funny to call me a pedophile”

ETuesday 29 June Hugo Strada gave his first (and supposedly only) interview to Manuel Luis Guchet, after the scandal in which he was implicated. In 2019, the content producer, then 36, was charged with multiple sex crimes, including pedophilia, a trial filed in May by the Department of Attorneys for lack of evidence.

“I just wanted people to see me for who I am, that’s all. I am a person who believes in others, who wants to work, who does not see the evil that really exists. I think it was a way of life. shake me hard as you prepare me to understand what exists. I, in fact, have changed. I want to keep doing my job, ”he said, meaning that even today there are people from Team Strada who work with him.

However, he stressed: “It’s ridiculous to call me a pedophile. If there is a person who respects children who works to create content for them [sou eu]”…

Note that at the time, Hugo was accused of using minors by selling his dream of fame on YouTube, the platform where he became popular on Team Strada.

“It was two years of torment, it was terrible. When the controversy erupted, I realized who was really on my side. Someone who did not stay with me because it is very difficult to be with Hugo Strada, ”he says.

“I can tell you that waking up, even today, every day is terrible. I have a great responsibility, many people are in my subordination. I hid so that I could work calmly and not harm anyone around me. If it weren’t for my wife, I wouldn’t be here anymore, I would give up life“, – he admits, showing that he continues to live under enormous pressure.

The interlocutor ensures that images that have gone viral on social media have been processed and taken out of context. “There was never excessive behavior, there was distorted behavior,” he says.

In the same conversation, Hugo also recalls the moment when the argument broke out. It happened when a young 17-year-old YouTuber Dumbastico, with whom he worked, kissed him on the lips during SIC Radical’s “Curto Circuito” program.

“This is how he comes home and greets his mother. I didn’t like it, but I allowed it and realized that it was synonymous with affection. There was no evil for me. I’ve never been angry with any of my agents. Maybe it was my sin to waste so much freedom. This is the attachment of a person who sees me as a father and I as a son, ”he explains.

Hugo also revealed that he continues to work, but behind the scenes, as the case destroyed his reputation.
