Last Monday Apple made available a new iOS 14.7.1, and with his arrival he stopped signing iOS 14.6… This means that users with iOS 14.7 or 14.7.1 will no longer be able to downgrade your iPhone up to version 14.6.

Version 14.6 of iOS was released in late May and brought some news regarding Apple’s card family, podcasts, AirTag, availability and support for Dolby Atmos and Lossless Audio in Apple Music, as well as fixes for some issues and bugs that were present in previous versions.

In iOS 14.7.1, Apple not only fixed a bug that could prevent the iPhone from unlocking through the Apple Watch, but also fixed an important vulnerability that could be actively exploited. According to the release notes, this security hole allows the application to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.

Apple stops subscribing to iOS 14.6

Since downgrading to previous versions of iOS is usually done by those who unlock their devices to install uncertified apps or settings, we do not recommend upgrading to iOS 14.7 as you cannot downgrade to iOS 14.6.
