Is the war back? Google and Microsoft end ceasefire years

Google and Microsoft have been fighting each other for years to conquer the market in many areas. These are often small attacks that companies target opposite services in order to earn dividends for themselves.

The real victory was the ceasefire agreement between the companies, which thus did not attack each other. This period of grace has come to an end, and the first attacks are already visible from both sides. The war could return now that the truce between Google and Microsoft has ended.

This agreement has been around for several years now and is intended to bring some peace to the technology world. Attacks and complaints were common, and regulators intended to focus on competitors, leading to such frequent results.

Now this blessed state will end, and companies will be able to actively attack each other. The cases are already known, and Google recently attacked Microsoft after it defended a law in Australia that forced Google to pay to publish news.

Thus, videos that have been circulating on the Internet for several years and that have used the services of both companies and criticized them may return. The most famous of these is even Scroogled, created by Microsoft to criticize Google Chrome and its alleged data collection.

The idea behind this agreement was also so that both companies could work together and in close collaboration. This has happened several times and with relatively great success in many areas important to both companies.

However, as you can see from the Windows 11 presentation, one of the latter seems to have failed. Microsoft will have Android apps running on the new operating system, but ended up having to choose a different partner to gain access to a trusted app store. The most logical would be the Play Store.

There are several sources that reveal this movement (one|2) and the likely opening of several fronts of the conflict in the near future. With the new CEOs controlling these companies, it is still possible that this open war scenario will recede, but that will require a lot of change.
