According to O Diário, on the first day of pre-sale of the iPhone 13, according to telephone operators and retailers, demand for it grew from 40% to 60% compared to the last launch last year. Even in the midst of the crisis, sales declined on the iPhone 13 Pro Max, a model priced between R $ 10,499 and R $ 15,499.

In this sales model, a customer buys a device from companies’ online channels and receives a mobile phone the following Friday when it is officially launched in the country.

In order to attract this consumer without fear of costs, telecommunications companies, retailers and banks are in a veritable dispute over customers. Among the strategies to attract stakeholders, it is worth a little nudge: some companies offer up to 30 installments for the purchase of cell phones, discounts over R $ 3,000, provide loans on the website for other products (cashback), giveaways, in addition to preferential points in programs loyalty and vouchers in the Apple app store.

The retailers’ strategy was to focus on longer payments. Luiza magazine offers payment in installments up to 30 and even created a promotion with a draw of R $ 100,000 a week for those who buy an iPhone 13. In addition, the company will create cashback promotions for its customers. In other words, when buying smartphones, you can return part of the cost on credit on the seller’s website.

Among teleconferencing, the installment plan is 21 installments, but you can get access to big discounts if you have a contract for a data package. The bet was to invest in discounts on more expensive devices, according to one industry executive.
