Intel will raise prices, and good. Shot in the leg?

Did you think that the promised price increase for Intel’s product line only applies to processors? You are very wrong… It will be on all products, both on those that are already on the shelves, and on those that are about to arrive.

A strange strategy since AMD has decided not to raise the prices of its new Ryzen 7000s. It is even more strange when Intel itself admitted that it expects to lose market share to AMD in the near future. (Link)

Let’s do it part by part?

Intel will raise prices, and good. Shot in the leg?

Therefore, as we have already reported, Intel has decided to raise prices for its processors in all price ranges. But now, according to new information, even after AMD’s announcement, the plans seem to have evolved into something even stranger… Increases will be in processors, and in motherboards, and well… In everything. Growth, which can reach 20%, that is, much higher than inflation, which ranges from 9% to 10%. Interestingly, even graphics cards can grow if they manage to achieve at least some success when they finally hit the shelves.

After all, we have a new list where we can see a huge list of processors as well as motherboards. You know why? Because Intel designs and manufactures its own chipsets.

This means that Intel, although faster in performance, can be significantly more expensive than AMD in the new generation of components. This can lead to the fact that the opponent will gain an advantage.

It is also worth noting that these increases use the chip crisis, uncontrolled inflation and, as a result, the rise in prices for a wide variety of raw materials as a pretext. But the truth is that the Intel CCG group lost 25% compared to the same period last year and was 15% below analysts’ expectations.

Unfortunately, we don’t have an idea of Intel’s final pricing for the next generation yet, but there will surely be something interesting.
