One of the most exciting features that Microsoft released this week with Windows 11 was native support for Android apps. This feature opens up this system even further and instantly opens up a range of new applications.

As expected, Microsoft has prepared its entire system so that everything is inside the app store. However, the question remains about the possibility of installing directly. The confirmation came directly from a well-known Microsoft insider.

Over the years, Microsoft has wanted to bring mobile apps to Windows 10, and now to Windows 11. These projects have never been fully completed, with a preference for Android, even because Apple's system is closed to these scenarios.

If until now you needed a connection between a PC and a smartphone, as we saw in the My Phone app, that will change. Microsoft wants these apps to run natively using only local resources and not as a mirror of a smartphone.

To keep this whole process safe, Microsoft decided to team up with Amazon and its app store. Even though this is not a common or repetitive Android base, this app store offers a very broad offering and a very high degree of trust for users.

The question that most users have left with this ad is whether it is possible to download apps outside of this store, now, and explaining this scenario, Miguel de Icaza It turned out that these applications can be installed directly on Windows 11.

It was unclear how this process would be carried out and what requirements would need to be met. The APK will be required, but conversions and other related processes may be required already in Windows 11.

This is great news for Windows 11 and its users. Doors to other stores and other applications can be opened. However, it could also be a door that opens up all known security issues.
