Imperialism accuses Muslims of killing a politician

Conservative MP David Amess died Friday after being stabbed several times while meeting with voters at a Methodist church in Lee-on-Sea, Essex, South West England.

The Metropolitan Police informed the press that the case was officially declared terrorist. A 25-year-old Briton of Somali origin is in custody on suspicion of murder. The police agency believes that “the potential motivation is associated with Islamic extremism.”

Home Secretary Boris Johnson (Conservative Party) has asked police to review the legislators’ security protocol. This is the second Member of Parliament to be assassinated in England in the past 5 years.

The British right is taking advantage of the situation to blame Muslims and preparing to launch a crusade against “Islamic jihadism.” However, it should be noted that if a Muslim was the cause of the stab wounds, this is understandable, since British imperialism is crushing Muslims in England and in their own countries.

Conservative British politicians are responsible for countless atrocities committed against Arab and Muslim peoples around the world. The imperialist interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen, which meant death and suffering for millions of people, were sponsored by Britain. The country is also a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and has distinguished itself in US policy on the war on terrorism following the September 11, 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers.

The violence of the oppressor is completely different from the violence of the oppressed. Muslims are attacked, watched, branded in England and its countries, destroyed by imperialism. It is clear that they want to respond to their oppressors, the Conservative Party, the most reactionary party of the British imperialist bourgeoisie, even if it is done individually and disorganized.

First, the British destroy the Muslim countries of Africa and the Middle East. Every reaction is classified by the imperialist press as a “terrorist act.” Foreign intervention and the establishment of a military dictatorship in backward Muslim-majority countries should be viewed as terrorism by British “democratic” imperialism. If there is anything that is not terrorism, it is the legitimate right of the oppressed to defend themselves against their oppressors.
