A group of about 50 leaders from the political, business and third sectors gathered around the speaker. Luciano Jak (no party) at a hotel in Rio de Janeiro last Wednesday, the 8th, to discuss the themes that were at the heart of Huck’s future presidential project, such as the green economy, education and tackling inequality.

Huck’s allies believe that “Meeting Rio”, as he was called, pursued the goal of avoiding the demobilization of his entourage and showing that, despite the decision to continue working for TV Globo, the presenter still wants to create a project for the country. The host will leave this game, the source said.

Among those present were “advisers” from the first hour of the presenter, such as Arminio Fraga (former Central Bank), Paulo Hartung (former governor of Espirito Santo), Eduardo Mufarey (RenovaBR), Black zeze (Kufa) e Roberto Freire (Citizenship).

In addition to these, several names from politics and business were scheduled for discussion in three panels:

  • “The conjuncture and context of 2022 – the future of parties, emergencies of populism and democratic institutions”through the mediation of Hartung. Panellists: Mufarei, ACM Neto (DEM), Gilberto Cassab (PSD), Flavio Dino (PSB), Luis Roberto Barroso (STF Minister) and Rodrigo Maia (SP Projects Secretary).
  • “Post-Pandemic Challenges and Opportunities – Education, Technology and Social Protection”via Daniel Goldberg (Farallon Investimentos). Panellists: Claudia Viegas (LCA), Preto Zese (Kufa), Priscila Cruz (Everything for Education), Ricardo Henriquez (Instituto Unibanco) and Ronaldo Lemos (Lawyer).
  • Brazil Green Energymediated by Ilona Sabo (Igarape Institute). Panelists: Arminiu Fraga, Marcello Brito (President of Abag), Roberto Vaak (President of the Board of the Arapiau Institute) and Tasso Azevedo (Climate Observatory).

The event program folder contained the following message: “Given the enormous challenges Brazil is facing today, this meeting aims to provide a space for discussion among influential, diverse, diverse and dedicated people, regardless of party nuances. We want to work together to define an agenda of fundamental commitments for our future, in which everyone in the audience feels represented and agrees not to give up. We believe we are united by a belief in a fairer and less unequal country with a strong and inclusive democracy. This Brazil of talk, bridges, hopes and opportunities exists – and a part of it will be here today. ” / CAMILA TURTELLI COOPERATION
