Since last Thursday (02), Horizon Forbidden West in New Game+, meaning it is possible to replay Aloy’s adventure while keeping all the items from the first gameplay and facing enemies with a higher difficulty level. However, unlike most other games with this option, Guerrilla does not have it in the main menu. So how do you access it?

The Dutch studio has taken a different approach to launching New Game+ in the Forbidden West – to begin, you have to enter the game. In this little guide MeuPS teaches you how to do it.

How to start a New Game+ in Horizon Forbidden West

In order to start a New Game+, the player must load their save, as Completed the Horizon Forbidden West campaign at least once. Once this is done, the player needs to go to their base, which is located in the central part of the map.

Once there, go straight ahead until you find the main room, where you will see Beta and some lit candles in the center. Approach and interact with the metal structure to receive a message asking if you want to start New Game+. Click “X” to confirm and that’s it!

New legendary weapon from New Game+

Of course, New Game+ offers Aloy new gear to wear on her journey through the Forbidden West. Among them are seven legendary weapons, ranging from bows to mittens. Verify:

• Iriv’s Fall – Accurate Bow
• Legacy Limit – Slingshot
• Brawlbreaker – Lansa Virotes
• Tears of the Earth God – Arco de Cacador
