Veteran record executive Ron Fair, who served in the lead roles at Geffen and Virgin Records, was in the sales order. His big house in Tennessee on the outskirts of Brentwood, a suburb of Nashville, had just been sold for two million US $ 4 million a few years after he sold a plantation in Brentwood California for $ 8.12 million.

The property currently listed is the bigger of the two, stretching over one hectare with a colonial-style brick house covering more than 12,000 square feet. The towering column and the brick walkway approach a dramatic entrance.

Inside there are seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a neat living room and various facilities. High-level highlights include a thick foyer with double stairs, a two-story living room with curved window walls, a formal dining room under a tin ceiling and a wooden paneled office.

Notched ceilings brighten the lounge, and there are also games rooms, wet bars, music rooms and movie theaters. An elevator navigates a three-floor plan.

A front-facing balcony features a view of the environment, and in the back, a covered terrace opens to a grassy courtyard.

For four decades in the music industry, Fair has served as chairman of Geffen Records and chief creative officer at Virgin Records, in addition to roles at A&M Records and Capitol Records. Collaborating artists include Christina Aguilera, Vanessa Carlton, Black Eyed Peas and Pussycat Dolls.

Public records show Fair bought the house four years ago for $ 3.075 million.

Gabrielle Dodson of Keller Williams Realty holds the listing.
