KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer has put his home in the Lake Sherwood community in Ventura County for $ 2.75 million.

The Mediterranean custom villa, built in 2005, was renovated and upgraded after Thayer bought the place in 2008.

Designed to maximize the view, this terraced house has six terraces, including one with an outdoor fireplace. The picture window in the public area brings a view of the lake and mountains inside.

Reaching through a fenced entrance, this 4,497-square-foot house has a gallery, a kitchen in the center of the island, four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The box beam ceiling is above the living room, which has one of five fireplaces. Large living room opens to the front yard. Attic / bonus rooms cover the top floor.

The house rests on about a third of an acre with formal lawns and landscaping. The three-car garage is located in front.

Thayer, 59, gained popularity in the Hollywood rock scene in the 1980s as the lead singer of the glam metal band Black Blue n Blue. He joined KISS as the band’s main guitarist in 2002, replacing Ace Frehley, and co-wrote 10 songs for the 2012 album “Monster”.

Jordan Cohen from RE / MAX One holds the listing.
