Hot Property: Hollywood screenwriter sells Beverly Hills homes

Married screenwriters, Jennifer Crittenden and Bill Wrubel, turn the page in Beverly Hills. A few months after spending $ 5 million on Fred Savage’s Hancock Park home, the couple had sold their place in the Beverly Hills Post Office area for $ 3.535 million.

That’s $ 760,000 lower than the asking price, but $ 1,385 million more than they paid in 2003, records show.

Crittenden, who wrote for “The Simpsons” and “Seinfeld,” and Wrubel, who produced and wrote for “Modern Families,” must have a closeness to Mediterranean homes. Their new place in Hancock Park has a style similar to this one, which clocks at more than 4,400 square feet.

Wooden gates and fenced courtyards approach a two-story residence, opening stylish rooms with beamed ceilings, arched doors, and dark hardwood floors. The dining room is lined with built-in, while the kitchen in the center of the island attracts attention with bright turquoise cabinets.

Two terraces complete the property; one holds a swimming pool and spa, and the other offers a built-in seating, dining area and fireplace.

Crittenden wrote five episodes of “The Simpsons” in the 1990s and later received five Emmy nominations for his work on “Seinfeld” and “Everybody Loves Raymond.” Wrubel has served as executive producer and writer on “Will & Grace,” “Ugly Betty” and “Family Modern.”

Edward Fitz from the Agency is a listing agent. Safir Shamsi from Rodeo Realty represents the buyer.
