It didn’t take long for this Midcentury gem to fascinate buyers. Pasadena’s house was recently sold to DJ Christian Karlsson who won a Grammy at a price of $ 2,385 million after about two weeks on the market.

Karlsson, who appeared as Bloodshy in the productive production duo, Bloodshy & Avant, must have liked what he saw. Records show Swedish natives paid around $ 200,000 more than the asking price.

There are many who like. The plantation spans nearly one hectare and is centered in a 1960s house built by architect John Galbraith. Clean lines and lush landscaping draw attention to the pergola entry, and the bright front door is flanked by a 9-foot high glass wall accessing the house.

The black slate floor is mixed with red wood paneling in the living room, which includes a trendy mahogany kitchen and a dining room with a wet bar. At the center of it all, a two-sided stone fireplace extends from floor to ceiling.

Three bedrooms, four bathrooms and a workshop complete the 3,567 square foot floor plan. The master suite opens to the backyard, where the swimming pool with the slides enjoys mountain views. A terrace, courtyard and garden complete the view.

Active since the turn of the century, Karlsson is best known for his work in the Bloodshy & Avant, Miike Snow, Galantis and artist collective / INGRID labels. He won a Grammy for producing the hit “Toxic” Britney Spears, and he collaborated with pop stars such as Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry and Sky Ferreira.

Jane Workman and Margaret Nader of Deasy Penner Podley hold the list. Johnny Johnston from Compass represented Karlsson.
